Some numeric fields are not listed in tag value dropdown list on Tin builder dialog box

Description

Some numeric fields, which should be offered for tag value use on the TIN Builder dialog box, are not listed when the input is a shapefile.

Cause

This is a known problem. Certain restrictions in how numeric fields are defined in dBASE prevent an integer interpretation of the fields in question. Tag values must be integer.

Solution or Workaround

1. Add a new short or integer field to the attribute table. You can do this with ESRI desktop tools.
2. Copy the values over to the new field. The new field will appear in the Tag Value dropdown list.
