ArcMap crashes when canceling login to secure ArcIMS image service while opening a map

Description

If you save a map that contains a secure ArcIMS image service, and do not save the username and password with the connection, you will be prompted to login when you next open the map. If you click cancel on the login dialog box, ArcMap will crash.

Cause

This is a known issue.

Solution or Workaround

1. In ArcGIS 8.1, save the login information with the map, or do not cancel the login dialog box when opening the map.
