Abnormal Termination - C++ Application Error

Error Message

Clicking a feature when using the Shared Edit tool, or issuing the Integrate command causes ArcMap to fail with an Abnormal Termination - C++ Application Error message.

Cause

An error is returned if the amount of RAM and page file space exceed 2.1 Gigabytes.

Solution or Workaround

1. Have your system administrator identify the current amount of RAM being used on your machine.
2. Subtract this value from 2.1 Gigabytes. The difference value is the maximum page file size you should use for all drives.
3. Have your system administrator reset your page file size to the value you calculated in Step 2.
