Changing an existing domain's type can cause ArcCatalog to fail

Description

After changing an existing domain's type, clicking Apply/OK will cause ArcCatalog to fail.

Cause

This is a known issue.

Solution or Workaround

A domain's type cannot be changed after it has been created. The domain must be deleted and re-created with the correct type.
