Application crashes when trying to use a context menu from a TableView object embedded in an external application window

A TableView object may be embedded in a window from an application that is outside ArcMap and ArcCatalog. For example, a TableView can be placed inside a Visual Basic form.

The application will crash if you try to use any of the context menus in the TableView.

Cause

Some of the commands in these context menus require accessing the ArcMap or ArcCatalog Application object.
