Streamline the ArcView application

Summary

Some GIS projects may require you use only some of the functionality ArcView offers. You can streamline the ArcView application by removing the unused components.

Procedure

  1. Streamline the ArcView interface by doing any of the following:
    · Remove controls, such as buttons, tools, menu controls, and menus. Search the ArcView help topic Index tab on "Customizing" for information on how to do this.
    · Remove GUIs. Search the ArcView help topic Index tab on "GUI" for information on how to do this.
    · Disable Avenue.

  2. Save GUI changes to a default project.
    a. Make a user default project.
