Error Message

This error message occurs when attempting to connect to a database through DBI/SQL Connect:

Unable to find the server at <$AVHOME\bin\dbi_oracle>

Cause

An error in the pathname.

Solution or Workaround



Since UNIX is case sensitive, make sure your $AVHOME path is all in lower case letters. For example, the difference in the following paths could cause a problem:

/cray5/AV32a/solaris2/arcview3 

/cray5/av32a/solaris/arcview3

Also, make sure the folder names are accurate.
