Why is there an island at 80° N, 135° W located on ESRI Data & Maps CD 2, in Canadian data sets: areacode, municplt, province, regnmuni, and water?

Answer

** Fixed at ArcGIS 8.2 **

The island incorrectly exists in the data, and for completeness and accuracy, it should be removed. You can remove this island with the editor in ArcMap, just select the island and delete it. Workstation ArcInfo also allows you to remove features; refer to your editing documentation for details.

This issue has been resolved in ESRI Data & Maps 2002 available with ArcGIS 8.2, ArcIMS 4.0, ArcView 3.3, MapObjects 2.1.
