PROBLEM

Some Spatial operations fail when using RasterDescriptor or FeatureClassDescriptor objects

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

Some Spatial operations (Ops) fail when using a RasterDescriptor or FeatureClassDescriptor object, which is created with an invalid query filter.

Cause

RasterDescriptor and FeatureClassDescriptor objects do not evaluate a query filter when they are created. Calling Spatial operation objects may fail, if the input parameters contain RasterDescriptor or FeatureClassDescriptor objects that are defined using an invalid query filter.

Solution or Workaround

Check the syntax of the 'where' clause in the query filter, and make sure the query filter is valid when passing it to the descriptors.
