Enable metadata editor tools

Summary

If the metadata tab for a dataset is empty or the metadata editing tools are disabled in ArcCatalog, you can enable them using the following steps in ArcCatalog.

Procedure

1. Click the Tools menu.
   
2. Select Options.
3. Click the Metadata tab
4. Make sure all the fields are filled out correctly and both check boxes are checked.
5. Click OK.
