Getting to Know ArcView starts then stops

Description

The Getting to Know ArcView (GTKAV) application runs for a few seconds after starting and then shuts down.

Cause

Possible conflict with default.apr files from another version of ArcView.

Solution or Workaround

1. Click Start > Find > Files or Folders.
2. Search for default.apr.
3. If you find additional user default.apr files, rename them to default.bak
   
   

   Warning:
   Do not rename, move, or delete the default.apr in the AV_GIS30\Arcview\ETC directory

   
   
4. Start GTKAV again. It should run without a problem.
