Frequently asked question

Can I create connectivity or relationship rules using feature classes instead of subtypes?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Answer

No. In UML models relationship and connectivity rules are created using subtypes only. For example, a connectivity rule may state that a primary_conductor can be connected to a transformer_x33, where primary_conductor is a subtype in the cables feature class and transformer_x33 is a subtype in the transformers feature class. You can create one subtype for the feature class and define the rule using it.
