In an programming environment using ArcObjects, when an invalid parameter is passed to a function or procedure, a general automation error is often returned. Examples of situations when invalid parameters are passed include attempting to open a raster dataset that does not exist, saving a raster to an existing file, or getting a table from a raster that does not have a table.
Specific error messages are not provided for most of the raster objects currently.
Check the input parameters to ensure they are valid.
