Frequently asked question

Why do the statistics show as zeroes when the actual values of the raster are not all zero?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Answer

When the largest value in a positive-value raster is less than 0.00005, the statistics in the Source tab of the Layer Properties displays all the values as 0.0000. This occurs because the display of statistics is limited to four decimal places. The legend will display correctly in the Table of Contents.

Analysis and operations performed on the raster are not affected and retain the full decimal precision.
