Using Raster::SaveAs returns 'Automation error'

Error Message

In a customized environment, the Raster::SaveAs method returns an automation error when the output workspace is an SDE workspace.

Cause

This is a known issue. A raster cannot be saved to a geodatabase using Raster::SaveAs with ArcGIS 8.1.

Solution or Workaround



Use the RasterDataset::SaveAs method to save the raster dataset to a geodatabase.
