Can I create and use metadata in all languages?

Answer

ArcCatalog will automatically create metadata in all languages. You can also create metadata in all languages using a metadata editor. You can export metadata in all languages to the XML and HTML formats. Importing metadata and exporting metadata to the FGDC CSGDM formats are only supported for the ISO 8859-1 code page. Also, some non-English characters supported by the ISO 8859-1 codepage may not import or export correctly.
