be "read".

This is followed by a Dr Watson error:

"arccatalog.exe (or arcmap.exe)
Exception: access violation (0xc0000005),
Address: 0x77f674cb"

ArcCatalog or ArcMap shuts down.

Cause

Records were added to or deleted from the personal geodatabase feature class using Microsoft Access 2000.

Personal geodatabases are stored in Microsoft Access 2000 database format (*.mdb). While it is possible to edit the geodatabase in Microsoft Access 2000, do not add or delete records from any tables. Adding or deleting records breaks the one to one relationship between the spatial features and their attributes, and can result in irretrievable loss of data in the affected feature class.

Solution or Workaround

Reopen the table in Microsoft Access 2000 and attempt to restore the original number of records to the table.
