WARNING: Parameter "OBJECTLOCKS" not found in defaults file!

Solution or Workaround

A problem can occur when installing ArcSDE 8.0.2 on a UNIX system. When starting the ArcSDE Server, the following warning message may be displayed or logged in sde.errlog:

WARNING: Parameter "OBJECTLOCKS" not found in defaults file!
WARNING: Setting OBJECTLOCKS to "10000"

This warning is caused by a typographical error in the file $SDEHOME/giomgr.defs.

This problem can be fixed by editing the file $SDEHOME/giomgr.defs, changing the parameter named OBJECTSLOCKS to OBJECTLOCKS.
