Summary

Not all DSNs show up in the SQL Connect dialog box after upgrading to ArcView 3.1

Cause

The ODBC administrator allows DSNs to have a maximum width of 32 characters. ArcView 3.1 will recognize 31 characters. ArcView 3.2 has been fixed to recognize all 32 characters.

Solution

Identify any DSNs that are 32 characters wide and shorten them so they are 31 characters or less.
