Error: Accessing Cursor Data Returns: Parser Error: Syntax Error

Solution or Workaround

When attempting to access data using a cursor, the following messages appear:

Parser error: syntax error
Program variable parse syntax error
AML ERROR - Undefined variable: :cursorname.itemname

Cause:

The cursor name starts with a number or special character.

Solution:

Change the name of your cursor so that it starts with an alphabetic character.
