ERROR

List space exhausted (SEGLNK)

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Solution or Workaround

Summary

CLEAN, IDENTITY, UNION, or INTERSECT return the following message:

List space exhausted (SEGLNK)

Cause

The (SEGLNK) message occurs when too many segments end at the same node. ArcInfo overlay commands can handle up to 100 segments ending at a single node, and the CLEAN command can handle up to 20 segments ending at a single node.

Solution

Option 1:
Edit your data to reduce the numbers of arcs ending on same node.

Option 2:
Reduce the fuzzy tolerance to keep too many arcs from collapsing on a single node.
