Error: PccOpen: Failed to Open Cursor

Solution or Workaround

Description:

When using EVENTMARKERS with an EVENTSOURCE in Microsoft Access, the following error occurs:

PccOpen: Failed to Open Cursor
SQLSTATE:s1093, native error code: -1003
[Microsoft][ODBC Micorsoft Access 97 Driver] Invalid Argument

Solution:

The EVENTSOURCE Event Key item has as hyphen "-" or a pound "#". For example:

Source name : MIMARKERS
Event type : POINT
Event Table name: MILEPOST
Database : ACCESS
Relate type : FIRST
Route Key Item : WR-ID
Event Key Item : WR-ID
Point Measure : MILES
Rename the Event Key column to something without special characters.
