Question

When is the release of ArcGIS Server 10 Service Pack 1 on Amazon EC2?

Answer

On December 2, 2010, Esri released new Amazon Machine Instances (AMIs) that include Service Pack 1 for the following:

• ArcGIS Server on Amazon EC2
• ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase on Amazon EC2

For users that already have access to the ArcGIS 10 AMIs, the ArcGIS 10 Service Pack 1 AMIs have been automatically shared with their Amazon Web Services accounts.

For more information on migrating existing AMIs to use Service Pack 1, please see Applying ArcGIS Server service packs and patches on Amazon EC2.

For ArcGIS Server customers who would like to gain access to the the ArcGIS Server AMIs, please contact Esri Customer Service.

I would like to see a new article that discusses the topic outlined below.

Well it's December and I haven't heard any mention of the updated images. Is there an updated ETA?

I have suggested related resources/links that can enhance this article. See below.

Any chance we can get a medium size instance instead of having to use a large. When using an edn to develope against a large is just too much machine.

The article contains a typographical or grammatical error.

We would very much like to see an AMI that contains both ArcGIS server and ArcSDE installed. It would save us a bundle of time. Thanks!
