The article needs to be updated.

Please link to more info about NIM002169. Here's the latest info from ESRI Support: "The details section of bug #NIM002169, specifically states that the request for the ability to export maps to PDF with hyperlinks, cannot be addressed until Adobe provides PDF support of hyperlinks for marked content. The details section of this report was updated this year and the status of this bug remains, "as designed". This is an indication that Esri development is still waiting on the word from Adobe, that they need to address this request. Therefore, it does not appear that the annotation link functionality is being considered to fullfill the enhancement."

Would like to ask ESRI to include hyperlink in ArcGIS exporting PDF. So I don't have to use TerraGo to do it.

Just want to add support to this enhancement request; PDFs with active hyperlinks would be an extremely useful tool. klf

We really need an upgrade that allows ArcMaps with hyperlinks to be exported to pdf files where the hyperlinks would work!

Yeah - you caught me - I meant to say 'GPS camera' not 'GIS camera'.

The lack of a way to get hyperlinks out of ArcGIS into a PDF map product is a huge missing piece in the use of hyperlinks. At this point - hyperlinking features within ArcGIS only works if the audience for my map product are GIS professionals. With the advent of GIS cameras, the ability to hyperlink photo locations with the actual photo taken is a great need.

very dissapointing. seems like it would be easy to implement, but then again were talking about ESRI... I always wonder why ESRI leaves out the simple, most basic functions in favor of elaborate bells and whistles, which often fail. Kind of like your KMZ export which ignores the datum, that was pure brilliance. So, will ESRI even at 9.3.1 finally actaully deal with datums correctly?
