  1. [spatial statistics (use for geostatistics)] In statistical testing, a set of assumptions that will be accepted by test data if the null hypothesis is rejected. In surveying, the alternative hypothesis assumes that there is an outlier present in a single measurement in a measurement network. The test associated with this hypothesis is the W-test.
