allocation

1. [network analysis] In network analysis, the process of assigning entities or edges and junctions to features until the feature's capacity or limit of impedance is reached. For example, streets may be assigned to the most accessible fire station within a six-minute radius, or students may be assigned to the nearest school until it is full.
