Oracle

  1. [computing] A database company that produces a relational database management system (also called Oracle), which allows data and other objects to be stored in tables. Oracle provides client/server access to data and uses indexes, sequences, and other database objects to facilitate rapid data creation, editing, and access. ESRI uses Oracle's RDBMS to store vector and raster data for use by ArcSDE.
