Published: April 22, 2014

Summary

This patch addresses many important geodatabase optimizations and fixes.

Description

Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.2.1 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) Optimization Patch. This patch addresses many important geodatabase optimizations and fixes. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.

Issues Addressed with this patch

  • NIM082534 - Index not populated to A table after versioning produces poor performance when the indexed column is used in a WHERE clause.
  • NIM096444 - Using a SDELOB featureclass with a join to another table fails during export with 'ORA-25156: old style outer join (+) cannot be used with ANSI joins'.
  • NIM096611- ArcGIS executes an excessive amount of GDM_6 queries to the SDE.table_registry when editing attributes of SDELOB versioned data, including queries to corresponding A and D tables that do not exist as rows in the SDE.table_registry.
  • NIM097131- Data with SDO_GEOMETRY storage fails to copy from one ArcSDE instance with Oracle to another ArcSDE instance with Oracle.
  • NIM097227 - Returning an ItemID from the catalog does not utilize the SchemaCache.
  • NIM097515 - Grouped annotation draws slower at the top of the table of contents (TOC) in an MXD, than when positioned at the bottom of the TOC.
  • NIM098308 - When migrating data that has a Multiversion View, make sure that the same name is used when the Multiversion View is recreated after the migration has completed.
  • NIM099080 - ArcCatalog does not return an error when the versioned view name has over 30 characters, and fails to be created during Register As Versioned process in an Oracle geodatabase due to Oracle's 30 character limitation.
  • NIM099085 - In ArcObjects 10.2, the CreateVersionedView method on the IVersionedView interface does not set the versioned view name to the string passed in. This works in ArcObjects 10.1.
  • NIM100273 - Views get overwritten during register as versioned if a view / versioned view of same name exists.
  • NIM100692 - Filter out multi-versioned views from the list of objects returned by SE_table_list_tables().
  • NIM100693 - Spatial Reference cache stopped working correctly at 10.0(?) causing repeated queries to the dbms (layers joined to spatial references).
  • NIM100694 - Odd query executed to detect the spatial column of a table.
  • NIM100695 - On stop editing cache the information that the class has a spatial index.
  • NIM100697 - Change the “_VW” suffix to “_EVW” when versioned views are created, in order to be consistent the EVW naming convention when we create MV views.
