ArcGIS 10.3 (Desktop, Engine, Server) Geocoding General Maintenance Patch
Summary
Description
Esri announces the ArcGIS 10.3 (Desktop, Engine, Server) Geocoding General Maintenance Patch. This patch addresses issues with using large locators in ArcGIS for Desktop and Engine which may cause the application to crash. This patch also resolves general issues with setting up geocoding services on premises. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.
Issues Addressed with this patch
- BUG-000083308 - Clipping a Gazetteer locator may make the locator give incorrect results in some situations.
Description: A clipped Gazetteer locator may get corrupted and give incorrect results. This fix will allow you to re-clip the locator and get correct results instead.
- BUG-000083323 - Extent value returned by a geocode server REST result will be incorrect if the locator was built with projected data.
- BUG-000083706 - Loading large locators with suggestions may crash ArcMap or ArcCatalog by running out of memory.
Description: If you have a large locator (Nationwide composite) that supports suggestions, loading this locator into ArcMap or ArcCatalog may cause the application to run out of memory and crash.
