ArcGIS 10.3 (Desktop, Engine, Server) Geocoding General Maintenance Patch

• BUG-000083308 - Clipping a Gazetteer locator may make the locator give incorrect results in some situations.
  
  Description: A clipped Gazetteer locator may get corrupted and give incorrect results. This fix will allow you to re-clip the locator and get correct results instead.
  
  
• BUG-000083323 - Extent value returned by a geocode server REST result will be incorrect if the locator was built with projected data.
  
  
• BUG-000083706 - Loading large locators with suggestions may crash ArcMap or ArcCatalog by running out of memory.
  
  Description: If you have a large locator (Nationwide composite) that supports suggestions, loading this locator into ArcMap or ArcCatalog may cause the application to run out of memory and crash.
  
  

ArcGIS 10.3 for Desktop, Engine or Server must be installed before installing this patch.

1. Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.

2. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.
3. Double-click ArcGIS-103-<Product>-GGM-Patch.msp to start the setup process.
   
   NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:
   
   
   msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ArcGIS-103-<Product>-GGM-Patch.msp

Complete the following install steps as the ArcGIS Install owner. The Install owner is the owner of the arcgis folder.

ArcGIS 10.3 for Engine or Server must be installed before installing this patch.

1. Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.

2. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location, and that no one is using ArcGIS.
3. Extract the specified tar file by typing:
   
   
   % tar -xvf ArcGIS-103-<Product>-GGM-Patch-lx.tar
 
4. Start the installation by typing:
   
   
   % ./applypatch
   
   
   This will start the dialog for the menu-driven installation procedure. Default selections are noted in parentheses ( ). To quit the installation procedure, type 'q' at any time.
