Description

EsriĀ® announces the ArcGIS 10.2 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) Landsat 8 Patch. This patch adds support for Landsat 8 imagery, as well as fixing several quality and performance issues related to raster and imagery data. ArcGIS users wishing to work with Landsat 8 imagery should apply this patch. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.

Issues Addressed with this patch

  • NIM089909 - CreateImageSDDraft method does not populate the summary and description (metadata) information from the mosaic dataset to the service definition.
  • NIM091883 - Performance of the addraster operation degrades after a lot of rows have been added to the mosaic dataset raster type table.
  • NIM092186 - With specific workflow that creates LAS Dataset and adds it to a mosaic dataset, running build overviews (or some other processes like building footprint) then calculating statistics will delete all files within that folder.
  • NIM093183 - Projecting a color corrected mosaic dataset produces a black display.
  • NIM093221 - Acquisition date is incorrect for NITF data added to the Mosaic dataset.
  • NIM093267 - In ArcMap, when the CopyRaster tool is used to convert a mosaic dataset to a TIFF file, the color corrections are ignored.
  • NIM093268 - Support blunder removal in automatic image registration.
  • NIM093992 - ArcGIS 10.2 now supports Landsat 8 imagery.
  • NIM097252 - Asking for the extent of a 10.x fileGDB or SDE feature class after copy and paste returns none even if features exist.
