  1. [remote sensing] Acronym for time-space-position-information. In remote sensing, the position and attitude information provided about an airborne or space-based platform by the onboard use of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) integrated with a Global Positioning System (GPS) and potentially other sensors and computational algorithms. Commonly used to provide the exterior orientation of a remote sensor, either in real time or as a post-processed result.
