epipolar lines

URL copied Share URL
  1. [photogrammetry] The line on stereo images that intersects an epipolar plane with the image focal planes. Epipolar lines are created so that if a ground point appears on the epipolar line of the first stereo image, that point will occur somewhere on the conjugate epipolar line of the other stereo image. When conjugate epipolar lines are aligned, y-parallax is eliminated.
